Thailand Excluded From Notorious Market List in 2020

Encouraging Signs for IP Right Holders in Early 2021 amid the Covid-19 pandemic!

In a heartening news for the IP right holders in Thailand, the recently released 2020 Review of Notorious Markets for Counterfeiting and Piracy conducted by the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) has not found any markets in Thailand that are currently active in selling counterfeit and pirated goods. USTR’s findings are synonymous with the Thai government’s sincere and continued efforts in the last few years to clean up the proliferation of areas previously infamous for engaging in counterfeiting activities.
